Sky Yak- 1990 Thoroughbred Mare
When Sky came to us in 1994, she was 1 year off the track and in-foal. She was high strung and scruffy, knowing only three commands: walk, trot, and gallop. Sky is now in semi-retirement and serves us well as an advanced dressage horse, jumper, and all around show champion.
Docs Taylor- 1997 APHA Mare
Taylor's owner contacted us in 2005 hoping to sell her as a trail horse. The problem? She bucked. It took less than 15 minutes from arrival for April to diagnose the problem- an ill fitting saddle. To be sure Taylor was given a test ride and has been perfect ever since. April also found the mare's hidden talent- dressage. They were doing canter pirouettes and flying changes in that first ride, and after some conditioning Taylor found a wonderful home with a young girl.

Sky Dreamer- 1995 Thoroughbred Mare
Sky Dreamer was the filly that Sky Yak foaled in 1995. April solely trained the filly until 3 years of age when she had to be sold.

Tax Baby/ April- 1994 Thoroughbred Mare
After the sale of Sky Dreamer (above), Roger Hoff, the sales agent who sold Sky Yak to April and her parents was impressed to hear about how easily "Dreamer" had been sold. He then asked for her to consign Tax Baby, who had been at pasture for some time after her racing career had ended. The mare was conditioned for one week before advertising, and not only did she sell easily, but her new owners appreciated April’s help so much that they re-named the mare “April” in her honor.
